We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead and support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of complex IT systems. This role will focus on ensuring operational efficiency, robust security, and the seamless migration to a modern cloud-based infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and delivering high-quality IT services, effectively utilizing resources, and preparing the system to meet future technological demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, and implementation of complex IT applications.
- Lead all phases of system development, including planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing, and acceptance (IV&V and DT&E).
- Apply advanced business or technical principles to resolve complex technical challenges and develop automated engineering solutions.
- Design and prepare technical reports, charts, and graphs to document and communicate results.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the project.
- Serve as a Task Leader when necessary, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement upgrades, enhancements, and system improvements.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MA/MS) with 10+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with 12+ years of relevant experience.
- At least 10 years of specialized experience as a Senior Software Engineer on projects with comparable Department of Defense (DoD) IT requirements.
- Expertise in: MS SQL Data Warehouses, HTML5, ASP.NET
- Experience leading projects in a low-code environment for Army or similar DoD projects.
- Proficiency in converting Adobe Flash code to HTML5.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities, particularly in managing software development lifecycle (SDLC) programs.
- Advanced problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
- Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
- Execute tasks independently and work as a team.

- Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills
